Shadow

We had a bond, I thought nothing could have strained it,
There was a song but then you went and changed it.
And now your gone.

Your life is over yet mine has just begun
hows mine so young yet yours is barely done?

There's a piano but no one here to play it
A shadow has fallen over this world tonight
because another man has died.

A widow, crying on her doorstep
a child fatherless and sitting by the stone
how can he know? How could he understand
he'll never hold his father's hand.

Do's and DONT's of academy life.

Living in a dorm is such an interesting and great learning experience. For example this week I have learned what to and what not to do.

1. Don't sing opera in the hallways on your way to the shower because people will not be pleased....

2. If you leave your pillow in the lobby for 10 minutes while your in someones room it will be confiscated and has to be bought back for 2 dollars.

3. Korean Ramen is purely AWESOME!

4. Dont leave your room key in your locker at the school building.

5. Don't let it be known that you have candy in your room....you will be swamped.

6. Don't us the microwave on all 3 floors at the same time, you WILL short out the system.

7. When deans check your computer make sure there's no Taylor swift....

8. Apparently according to my science teacher facebook is an evil tool of the devil.

9. It would be wise to study during study hall.....

10. Don't chew gum in science class

11. If you study late at night you will fall asleep in science.....and your friends will graffiti your arms.

12. When finding a study partner...make sure the person is smarter then you.

The greater reward.

Why does God give us trials? Because they lead up to something great, if you didnt have trials you would have missed out on the great reward to come.

I was so busy being deppressed about what happened to me in Albania that I couldnt move on in my life. Untill I stopped to think that if that hadnt have happened I wouldnt be here at Fountainview Academy. I'm not sure why God wants me here but I know I feel this is where I'm supposed to be.

I didnt realize how much I missed being with fellow christians, I had lost so much of my faith in God and I didnt even realize it because I never talked about it. A few days ago I spent my hour of free time outside just talking and listening to God. It was so refreshing to be able to just talk through my problems. I had been so stressed and deppressed before, and then God helped me realize what he has in store for me is so much greater then my little stress's in life.

One more day

One more day.

One more day of the comforting sounds of home. Of the albanian language flowing from the radio, of the ball bouncing outside my gate as little boys play football. The soft sound of the wind blowing through the pines....the wagons rolling down the street, my roma's calling my name. My puppy padding through the halls and eventually waiting for me at my door till I come pick him up. Who will pick him up now?

I walked up on the roof today and just gazed at the mist covered mountain, the feild ready to be planted, the little muddy road leading to the village. No matter how far I go I never want to forget that scene. I'll never forget this place as long as I live.
